
About Fran Docherty
Fran Docherty is a graduate of Villanova University. He taught math and other subjects for 40 years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His longest stints were spent at his alma mater Msgr. Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA (31 years), and at St. Augustine Prep in Richland, NJ (5 years). Fran actually retired twice - once from Bonner and once from the Prep.
While teaching, Fran moonlighted as a stand-up comedian. He worked many different venues, including comedy clubs and country clubs, social and business functions, colleges and commercials.
Fran has written jokes for the late show monologues of both Jay Leno and David Letterman. His material has been reprinted in publications like USA Today and The New York Times. Fran has also traveled the world on U.S.O. Tours, entertaining our troops in Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
In addition to "George Burns Tonight," Fran also opens the show with comic impersonations of other famous celebrities. A few have been included on the website videos.
